The Gal

A voice that doesn't sound like a robot.

We use Cartesia — the best-in-class text-to-speech engine for natural female voices. Most callers don't realize they're talking to AI until she tells them. Two voices to pick from, both warm, both clear, both designed to put a caller at ease.

Premium voice

Warm, friendly American female. Energetic without being chirpy. Reads punctuation like a real person. The voice on our demo line, available on every plan.

Pick her sound

Two voice options to start: a warmer default and a softer, slightly older alternative. We help you pick during onboarding. Switch anytime — just email us.

24/7 answering

Nights, weekends, lunch, while you're on a ladder. She never goes home. Configurable after-hours behavior — she can sound different at 9am vs 9pm.

Speaks trade

She knows industry vocabulary — “snake the line,” not “clear the drainage.” “Service call,” not “consultation.” Trades callers spot fake-business language in three seconds. She doesn't trip that wire.

On the call

What she does in 90 seconds.

The gal qualifies the caller, captures the right info, and either books them or hands you a lead with everything you need to follow up. A typical call wraps in under two minutes.

Qualifies the caller

Emergency, quote request, appointment, or general question? She figures it out in two or three turns and routes accordingly.

Captures the lead

Name, callback number, service type, service address, anything specific the caller mentioned. Defaults to the caller-ID number if they don't volunteer a different one.

Books the appointment (rolling out)

Checks your calendar, suggests open slots, books the appointment directly. Google Calendar first, Outlook + iCal next. Available on every plan.

Handles emergencies

Burst pipe, no heat, active leak? She captures the address fast, alerts you with priority, and tells the caller you'll be in touch as quickly as possible. Rules you set during onboarding.

Filters spam

Telemarketers and robocalls get hung up on. Insurance pitches, SEO outreach, fake “your domain is expiring” calls — gone. Real callers get the gal.

Always discloses

First turn of every call: she identifies herself as an AI and notes the call may be recorded. Required in two-party-consent states; good practice everywhere. Never tries to fake being human.

You find out within seconds.

Lead alerts hit your phone or inbox before the caller has put their phone in their pocket. Plus full transcripts and (on Pro and Max) recordings if you want to listen back.

Email alerts

Lead summary in your inbox within ~30 seconds of the call ending. Caller name, callback, service type, notes, and a one-click “Call back” button. Every plan.

SMS alerts (rolling out)

Your phone buzzes the moment a lead drops. Available once A2P 10DLC carrier registration clears (early summer 2026). Included on every plan.

Full transcripts

Every word she said, every word the caller said. Searchable in your dashboard. Useful for double-checking details and for training the gal further over time.

Auto-generated summaries

A 2–3 sentence summary per call — the caller's need, any commitments made, anything a follow-up should know. Factual only; she doesn't invent details.

Call recordings (Pro & Max)

Play back the actual audio. Useful for training, for confirming what was said, or for handling rare disputes. Stored securely and only accessible to your account.

Dashboard

All your calls, all your leads, all in one place — if you want to look. Most customers don't open it more than once a week. The phone buzzes; the work continues.

Unlimited team members

Add your dispatcher, your wife who handles the books, your office manager — they all sign in to the same account and see leads as they land. No per-seat fees, ever. We charge for the gal, not the chairs around her.

We run it. You don't touch it.

The biggest feature on this page isn't a feature — it's that you don't have to use any of the others yourself. Every PhoneGal account is set up, tuned, and maintained by a real human team. You forward your phone. We do everything else.

Onboarding call

Twenty minutes. We learn about your hours, services, pricing ranges, FAQs, how you want her to sound. You don't fill out a form — you just answer questions over the phone.

Full setup

We configure your gal, pick the voice, set up the line, write your custom escalation rules. Done by end of business day. You don't write a single prompt.

We test the line

Before we hand over the keys, we call your gal ourselves — emergency scenario, quote request, weird edge cases. If she fumbles, we tune her until she doesn't.

Ongoing changes

New service added? Hours changed for the holiday weekend? Want her to start mentioning a special? Email us. Most updates land same-day, in writing for the record.

Priority support (Max)

Max-plan customers get same-day turnaround on every request and direct phone access to the team. Other plans get email-priority queue — still fast, just not phone-first.

Keep your number

We give you a PhoneGal number; you forward your existing business line to it. No porting, no number change, no telling your customers anything new. We email per-carrier forwarding instructions.

We're an early-stage company hand-onboarding the first 50 customers. That's a feature: you get a real person, you get fast iteration, and you get a service that doesn't treat you like a row in a CSV.

Your data stays yours

Call transcripts, recordings, and lead data are accessible only to your account. We never use your call data to train AI models, and our AI vendor commits to the same.

US-based team

Onboarding calls, support emails, and account management are all handled from Louisville, Kentucky. Not a call center in another country, not a chatbot.

Honest call disclosure

First turn of every call she identifies as AI and notes that the call may be recorded. We don't try to fool the caller; the conversation works because it's natural, not because it's a trick.

Cancel anytime

No annual contracts. Cancel by email; keep service through the end of the billing month. We'd rather earn the renewal every month than trap you in.
